OK, I know this is a weird question. We are getting 2 golden retriever puppies next month. My husband is going to name the male to reflect his love of the mountains. I want to name the female to reflect my love of beatiful beaches, warm blue water and gorgeous coral reefs. I have thought of coral but I'm not sure if I like it. Anyone else have any ideas?

Anyone have any ideas that are more general to the tropical island paradise? Names like Sandy and Coral come to mind. Thanks for all of your help!

Following the 2 syllable rule (good point, by the way) what about

Limin

Pretty general, covers the island attitude and might suit the nature of your dog (once it grows out of the puppy stage).

Hey Ginger. I've thought of Sandy and am considering it. My husband really likes Coral and I'm thinking about that too.

You know that Ginger really makes a good golden retriever name 🙂

I like Limin from Chris's post above but it sounds more like a guys name, don't ya think?

Any more STJ/STT trips planned? I'm afraid that it will be a couple of years for me 🙁

Take care

Thanks Michelle. Unfortunately I have a friend that has a golden retriever named Mango. Might be a little confusing for them. I know that perfect name is out there. So far Coral is winning. I would go with Limin if it was a boy.

Dale,

If you are still considering Coral for your female, I think you MUST consider Cruz for the male. It just makes sense!!!

Surly there is a mountain named Cruz Mt. somewhere on the planet.

Deb,

I tried talking my husband into Cruz but I don't think I have a chance. Thats OK, I like Coral Bay a whole lot more than Cruz Bay. Anyway I think of the coral I see when I am snorkeling when I think about Coral. Now if I can just get him to name the male Reef we would have Coral and Reef.

Still open to suggestions!
