Hello! Were trying to plan a trip to St.Croix in June, can someone out there help me make a decission where to stay. Either Divi or Buccaneer price does not matter. My husband is in a wheelchair I want him to be comfortable and enjoy the resort. Thanks !

The Buccaneer is very beautiful and very hilly. There are courtesy vans to move people who don't want to/can't walk around the grounds. But this would involve him being able to transfer himself.

Divi is not as scenic, but it is flat with all the rooms near the beach. You should look at both web pages and call the resorts.

I'm here on St . Croix right now and would recommend Divi with a wheelchair. It's a bit far from everything but much easier to get around the premises. As Linda said, it is flatter as it is right on the beach. Both are great looking places to stay with good beaches. The Buccaneer is probably the better of the two but definately more hilly.

Have to agree with Linda J and Kerry - the Divi is the better choice. It's an easy drive into town, even though it is a bit distanced from many things. Be advised though, Christiansted is a beautiful old West Indian town. Due to its historic nature it is not especially conducive to wheel chairs.

Went out to Pirates Night at Carambola last night. There was a gentleman there doing quite well with a wheel chair. Carambola is a newer resort so they seem to have taken handicaps into consideration some. Beautiful place!!
