I have two questions for you folks and appreciate your help.
Can someone provide me with information on helicopter tours for StJ, I assume they all leave from STT but if you could provide me a website, I'd appreciate it. In addition, I'd like to hear if anyone has taken these and are they worth it?
Secondly, Has anyone ever heard of a bar "Old Mango" or of a similar name somewhere in the Islands.
Thanks
I've never taken a heliocopter tour, but I've seen them and heard them. Francis Bay is apparently right on the route they take. We were having a wonderful day at Francis, snorkeling out toward the point, then hanging out on the beach. The only thing that destroyed the tranquility of the day was the heliocopters flying overhead. If you do take a tour and see people on the ground gesturing toward you, those probably aren't friendly waves.
Hello Brady,
Aerial Tours - you can try http://www.aircenterhelicopters.com/service02.htm
and
Ace Flight Center (340)776-4141 (I think it was a Cessna...). I've taken an aerial tour with these folks and it was very enjoyable. Quite different seeing the island from the air; neat & beautiful.

Thank Islander, your information is appreciated. Now if I can find out what beach Nick will be at and when, I'll have the pilot hover him for a while.
Air Center is the one I wold recommend.
The Old Mango is actually Morgan's MAngo in Cruz Bay where the Island Boy works and waits for Emily to come by!

Ron,
Thanks for the insight and it all makes sense to me now.
I hope you don't take a helicopter tour of st.John.
You will be despised as a highly obnoxious inappropriate disruptive intruder to this most natural and serene of the Virgin Islands
why not take a kayak tour instead? I'd bet it's lot quieter, less expensive, and lots more excercise than a helicopter.
LOL, Ron on the Old Mango. Can't wait to get there in June and go see all the places he sings about on that CD!!!
