I have a question for those of you who have already had your weddings in the islands. My future d-i-l is thinking about getting a gorgeous but heavy and fairly formal satin gown for her st john wedding in june at sunset. Has anyone done that or have you all worn the lighter weight gowns? Will she swelter in the heat? I like the lighter weight gowns but this one has the "wow" factor for her. What to do what to do. Also any suggestions for transporting the gown to the island?
I got married at Marriots Frenchman's Reef in mid June almost seven years ago and wore the big princess dress of my dreams. Hate to go against the grain here but I wasnt hot at all the breezes were great. The tradewind don't technically die til July. Of coarse mother nature was never technical.
