Hello,
We will be in St. Thomas on Jan.5th for the day (cruiseship). We have a St. John jeep reserved for us. We saw Trunk Bay last April (beautiful!) and are wondering which beaches are also a must see. We would like to go to Honeymoon if someone can tell us the best way to get there. Also any suggestions on what we should see and how long it will take to get around would be helpful.
Thank you!
Linda
P.S. How's the weather?

Hello Linda,

If you have a car you can drive all over the island and beach hop for a few hours and then settle down on one or two beaches for a couple hours.

I would say drive from Cruz Bay where you will likely pick up your rental car and drive toward Hawksnest, Caneel Bay... visit those two beaches then continue on stopping at the scenic look outs at Caneel Bay, Trunk Bay, Maho Bay... drive out to Annaberg Plantation and check it out. And then if you would like more island seeing drive over to Coral Bay and that end. Perhaps have lunch in Coral Bay and decide over lunch which beach appealed to you most and then head their after lunch for swimming and relaxing and then head back to Cruz Bay to return the car and catch the ferry back to St. Thomas. If while at Annaberg you are running out of time then skip Coral Bay and head maybe to Caneel Bay, Trunk Bay (which your Annaberg ticket can be used to get into) or Cinnamon bay - they all have restaurants/food so you can eat there and swim for a bit.

You have to hike to Honeymoon, you can not drive. I would say since you have a car make the most of it and drive to beaches and sites that you can.
