Gobucs......does that moniker hail from Tampa per chance? In any case, click on the "Search" option on this web site and enter keywords "Stone Cottage" with the search extending to "Last Year" and you'll get some reviews/information on Stone Cottage. Have a great week!

I stayed at Rockworks last year in early July - that is villa adjacent to Stone Cottage. They are run by the same people. We loved Rockworks - absolutely beautiful, stunning view, quiet & out of the way. When we go back (which we talk about often) we will only stay there. We couldn't really see Stone Cottage, so privacy is not an issue either. I can only assume that the management takes the same level of care w/Stone Cottage as they do w/Rockworks. You should love it - have a great time!

We have stayed at Stone Cottage 3 times. And we'll be staying at Rockworks this fall with some friends. Obviously we love it or we wouldn't keep going back. Sherri and Jeff who manage the property are great people. They have been upgrading the property the last couple of years and are still working on it. Great, quiet, out of the way place, but you can get into town in 10 minutes or so. There is a wonderful view, gorgeous PRIVATE pools. You don't have a beach, but you can get to those in 10 minutes also.

Let me see...tips on what to bring? To save money on groceries, you could carry some food stuff with you which I have seen a lot of guests do! Beach towels, blow dryers, irons, are all provided so need not worry about that!
Stone Cottage is located 1/3 of a mile above Dorothea Bay, but that is a rocky beach. I do often walk down to do some beach combing tho! Hull Bay beach is the closest which is less than a mile away (I walk there also, 1/2 hour each way, it is a hike) and ofcourse we are just a drive away from all of the beaches! We are a 15 min drive from Megan's Bay. Not bad if you ask me! 🙂

gobucs,

All of that and much more is typically provided at villas, often because another guest has left something behind for others to use - I've almost always found : laundry detergent, dryer sheets, iron/board, dish soap, CDs, bug spray, suntan oil, beach chairs, coolers, beach towels, snorkel gear, pool floats, games, books, candles, condiments, spices, cooking oils, wine, liquor, hair dryers, guidebooks, sometimes even cold sodas and beer waiting in the fridge.

Just remember to add your contribution before you leave (I typically leave rum and/or wine).....and repalce whatever you use the last of.

Great,
Ill try to leave Liquor but ya know vacation Ha HA
Just teasing were not alcoholics Really

Actually i run a vacation condominium vacation place on an island called Boca Grande on the west coast of Florida
and typically know whats left but each place is different so this gives me a great idea

We are still bring snorkel equip, Coffee and such so anything left over that we bring we will defiantly leave for the next guest.

You know we Women have to bring "everything but the kitchen sink" and of course never even use 1/4 of what we bring
Heck, I live in my bathing suit at home so why not their.

Ill down load pics of our "Little Secret" When I get back
In the meantime pray that no Hurricanes or tropical waves comes through that week

GO BUCS

Dear Marcip,
Wanted to thank you for your kind words! One of the agents from Mclaughlin noticed it and had sent it to me, that is how I really got involved with joining in on the conversation! Looking forward to seeing you again! 🙂
