Is there a place to rent a Harley on the Islands? We are planning a trip for next January and are big into motorcycles and think that would be the best way to enjoy a tour of islands? Also... are there any adult only hotels; we're looking to escape from the kids and everybody else's. Any island info at this point is greatly appreciated -- we haven't made our final decision as to where to spend our vacation!!!
There are no adult only resorts here. You might try Jamaica. Jamaica's terrain is also more bike friendly.
No Harley Rentals here at all. But there are a few places that I can tell you about that cater to adults. Private message me.
Didn't see any bike at all when we were in STT STJ...the terrain was not the best for bikes and with the afternoon rains and steap hills I see why.
One of the visiting cruise ships regularly brings in Harley bikers - and their bikes. The calvacade is really something to see as they tour the island on these huge gleaming machines and I almost expect to see Hopper, Nicholson and Fonda zooming by with them. Looks like that would be a fun vacation if you're into Harleys. Cheers!
Just for the heck of it did a Google and here's a link to a Boston Globe article on the Harley cruises:

I am one of the local Harley riders that meets the group at the ship and shows them around the island. You can check out the trip at:

CASK,
We have several Harley's here and a Harley Davidson shop as well! No rentals tho.
Instead of staying at a hotel, you might want to stay in a villa instead! The house and pool all to yourselves! Try: www.mclaughlinanderson.com
Hope you come to St. Thomas!
Good Luck!
As far as the "Harley Shop"...on STT, you can get lots of T-shirts and keychains and whatnot, but no parts or service...I haven't been to STX's place yet, because my bikes are on STT....I buy all of my stuff over the internet and do all the work myself, as do most of the riders...
I believe the shop on STX is also only merchandise, no parts or service.
Here are some pics from a Poker Run last weekend:

Kinda gives you an idea of how few of us there really are here...I mean, in the States, you'll have a couple hundred bikes at a PR...not here! Haha! (this was on STX)
