What are the best places for beachfront "happy hour" on St Thomas? We'll be on the East End. . .Thanks!!
Secret Harbor - Cowpet - Lattitude 18 - Island Tyme - take the ferry to Woodys or the Beach Bar.
I know Woody's and the Beach Bar quite well. If you don't mind my asking, how do the 4 on STT compare? Like is one for a younger or older crowd? Is there live music? Good drinks? How about their beaches?
Last, is Island Tyme by Molly Malone's? Thanks again!
Woody's and the Beach Bar are noisy, and quite honestly, obnoxious venues. IMHO, of course! Blue Moon (Secret Harbour) and Robert's or Ainsley's (Cowpet) are much more contemplative and reflective places to end the day. Island Time is in American Yacht Harbor (yes, near Molly's) and Latitude is on the water at the end of a bad road. But go, you'll be glad you did! 😉
Every hour on the beach is happy.
This past November we stopped at Secret Harbor at happy hour, and watched one of the best sunsets we've seen in the 10 years visiting STT. A very HAPPY HOUR!!!!!
Great photograph
Hull Bay Hideaway is a cool atmosphere too. Open Air beach bar and sushi bar. Beach ping pong anyone?! Too fun as the rum starts flowing!

So true 😎
Again, great info everyone -- and one great photo!!
You can also look at Iggies (beach bar/restaurant at Bolongo Bay).
The live music varies by day of week and time, you'd need to call some of the ones you are considering and see what they have lined up. What type of music were you looking for?
As for your question about the beaches... the recommendations so far were Secret Harbor, Cowpet, Vessup (closest one to Latitude 18), Hull Bay and Bolongo. If you click over to the beach guide on this website there are photos of all of those and other beaches plus description. Check that section out at: St. Thomas Beach Guide.

Iggie's is one of our favorite spots for evening beach Cocktails. It is a really neat spot. There really are no bad spots, just some better than others. If you need or want to be directly on the beach, your options are somewhat limited. One thing about STJ, as much as I love the place, the options for bar/grill type places is very limited compared to STT where there are many great spots.
Lat 18 is great - usually good music depending on the day - Dick Solberg the Fiddler is here now for season- it is where us Locals go
