Does anyone know if you can use your stateside handicapped parking card in a rental car in STT to park in handicapped parking spots?
Does it work in another state?
I have no idea if it would be "legal", but I would bring it, use it and see what happens. I bet no one even notices.
Exit it works in other states. Linda, I agree that is what to do, but every so often the police do some crazy things. I just was trying to do the right thing.
You might try calling the Department of Human Services, Disability and Rehabilitation section at (340) 774-0930. They issue the local permits and may be able to answer your question.
My wife has a handicap card issued in CT that hangs on the mirror. We've used it on STT and STX with no problem. It is even honored on Barbados. It worked great at Coki Beach.
Beachboy-
My fiancee is permanently disabled due to a motorcycle accident in the '90's. Every trip to STT/STJ we bring her handicapped placard and never have a problem anywhere.
