Hi,
We are coming to St. Thomas for a day as we will be on a cruise at the end of March. My husband is paralyzed and confined to a power wheelchair. This is a trip of a lifetime for our family and we hope to make it the best we can reguardless of his limitations. He is usually so restricted too where he goes and what he sees when we go places. Does anyone have any advise on things we will be able to do while there? He also loves to fish and enjoys driving a 4 wheeler. Do they rent those there? Are they allowed on the beaches? Is there buses or taxis that have wheelchair lifts there? What places are a must see for him? Any help we can get on disability issues would be great! Thanks. Wendy
Hi Wendy,
You might want to check out this website: http://www.accessvi.com/tours/tours.htm They have tours with wheelchair accessible vehicles. They also rent water wheel chairs. They may have answers to some other questions you have. Hopefully others will have additional information on services available.
