Do any locals know if Half Moon Stables is still in business? I have seen responses on this board before that they are not in business - but in two different books I bought about the USVI's they recomend calling them for horse rides. Also, the St. Thomas Source even has them listed on their things to do list.

Can anyone clear the air???
Thanks.
They are not listed in the phone book any longer.
Hello,
No they are not open anymore as a horse back excursion operation. I think its called VI Riding Academy now and they teach horse back riding and have summer camps, that type of thing. St. John and St. Croix do have horseback riding excursions.

Ok so wait a minute, i'm planning a vacation there in about two weeks and i am a huge horseback riding fan.....there are no other places to rent a couple horses and take 'em for a ride? I mean no other excursions at all? You've got to be kidding me. Nothing else having to do with horses on the Island of St.Thomas?
Hello Tori,
Yes there is another horse related thing; the horse track but no there are no other excursions or places to rent horses. You can go over to St. John (an easy, short, inexpensive ferry ride) from St. Thomas and there are two horse excursion outfits over there.
The first is Carolina Corral (340)693-5778 and the second is Villa Vakoolla (contact Richard) [email protected]
