If you had to pick one book about St. John to buy that talks about great snorkeling spots (and how to get to them), hikes, restaurants, etc which one would you buy?
My personal favorite is St. John Feet Fins & Four Wheel Drive. I researched most of St. John's restaurants on the internet. You can email me if you'd like all of my saved links. Happy researching!
We swear by 'St. John Off the Beaten Track'. The book provides excellent coverage of all areas on the island and includes many 'quite' areas not visited by the tourists. If you use this book, you can't get lost. It was uncanny how he described outcroppings and quirks in the trail so clearly we knew where to go before we got there. It does not offer restaurant information but quite honestly, this board is best for that.
Feet, Fins & Four Wheel Drive is also a good choice but we felt it was not as deatailed.
