Sherri Said: This was fun!
How about another thread using our own photos! Wouldn't be a prize tho!
What do ya think?

The prize is one day at this beach at your own expense

I think this one is pretty easy

Hi Islander, You would be correct in answering Brewers Bay! I have more pics. of the same shot only showing more of the beach, but I knew that would truly give the location away!
The new picture you just posted is: drum roll please............. Lindbergh Bay!
Damn I'm good! 😀 Nice sunset! I see this view almost everyday when I head to the airport to pick up guests that are arriving!

Time for a new picture!

FL Barrier Islander, RockDock....You guys are good...anyone else?

I might have an unfair advantage since I live just out of view to the left side of the photo, and I get to see this beach all day long. Actually, the Good News is that you could caption this photo as: Living In De V.I. . . . Do you know why?

RockyDock, in interest of full disclosure, I have unfair advantage as well. I'm your neighbor. At the end of Lookout Point Road, past Mermaid Manor, below Chuck, Linda & Lucy. I've met you many times 😎

Sherri - that kinda looks like the view from the Mahogany Run area
Is it taken from the golf course?

Here is one back at you

Another photo to help future travelers

You got it!

So you partied a little too hard at the Love Shack last night!

Then your 19 year old is nice enough to tell you that you did sing at open mic night in front of a standing room only crowd at Latitude 18. Albeit not well and nothing like Kenny Chesney, she tells you, but the hat was cute!

And now your wife who got everybody up at 7 am to head to St John for a day on the beach is saying hurry up lets get on the bumpy diesel smelling boat for that short ride to paradise…

Well I can highly recommend the Burrito Bay Deli in Red Hook. They make a great Breakfast Burrito with a side of greasy potatoes that is hard to beat for that next morning. In fact they are right down from the ferry terminal. So you should slow the family down – fill them full of food before the ferry and then whistle “Be As You Are” as you casually stroll down the street to the ferry trying your best to hold up your head.

You are sooo on target TomB! I have definately been there, and Burrito Bay Deli certianly helps with a hangover. Stateside I could never imaging going out and partying with our young adult children ages 19 to 22 but once we get on island all changes. Maybe that's why we love the island so much, I feel like a younger version of myself. I once heard a great quote from someone..."Life is not a dress rehearsal". That has stuck with me through the years, life is too short, why not embrace life to the fullest each and every moment.

I'll be back in town next week and am having a hard enough time trying to focus getting all of my work done. This forum definately keeps me distracted.

Islander, I was going to say that your sunset photo looks a lot like it's taken from Limetree Beach, but Sherri was so certain, that I doubted myself. Now that I look again, I'm going to stick by that. In fact, I think the rock in the foreground is the one at which John knelt down in the sand and proposed to me. Ahhhhhh......

If it is a shot from Limetree Beach, it was not taken during the summer months, as the sun never sets over the water from that beach then.

RockyDock, thanks for giving me the moon schedule and sky events for the month of August. If all that information was on your new USVI calendar I'm quite impressed. I love it when there's a full moon, but I also love a new moon. The starts stand out so beautifully. I've often seen meteor showers in August. So cool to see them shooting over the sea.

I didn't mean that you could show me the calendar during a full moon, I was just taking you up on your offer to provide me with any information from the calendar that I needed.

Can I also send you some important dates to write down on it and you can send me an e-mail reminder? Now that would be some service!

Thanks again!
