Mike: The closest ones to town would be Pueblo in Long Bay and Pueblo by Subbase.

erika: Since it is all-inclusive, you need a grocery?? Either Plaza Extra in Tutu or Marina Market in Red Hook.

I booked it when it was the Renaissance. I am a travel agent so I'm getting a discounted Marriott rate that they are still honoring for me.

I don't know where you are from but 'grocery stores' on STT are not like stateside stores. I was used to Albertson's or Smith's out in the southwest, Super Walmart elsewhere, Kroger, Winn Dixie, Publix, Meijer in the midwest, Sam's Club, etc Most of those operated 24/7.

The grocery stores here, for the most part appear filthy-dirty, are disorganised, smell terrible, have a poor & vastly overpriced selection, etc. Every time I enter a Pueblo I wonder if anyone ever mops the floor. I guess in the long run the appearance probably saves us money because by the time you get down a couple of aisles your appetite is usually gone. In all fairness though, Pueblo isn't VI-owned...it's based in Puerto Rico.

Parrothead...when we first moved here we shopped at the Long Bay Pueblo, thank god someone stopped us one day and told us about...
Marina Market and Gourmet Gallery (for specialty items and certain meats and cheeses), Cost-u-Less for Costco sort of goods, Fruit Bowl--for fruits and veggies, and Food Center (on the way to Red Hook).

Hi Onik'a - I'm simply used to grocery stores that adhere to health dept standards. I have been told to try out the other places you mentioned.

Thanks again to you & your husband coming by the airport to pick me & my son & cat up. I'm getting used to island life.
