Hey anyone knows if I can get low carb bread on the East End in St. Thomas or do I have to bring my own?
lighten up dawn your on vacation... but yes you can find low carb everything just like stateside
Thanks lip. I am only going low carb, low fat for breakfast and lunch as we plan on eating dinners out. My body just does better with protein then carbs. Which grocery store would you recommend and where? We are renting a car from the airport and staying at Sapphire Village. Leaving next week and can't wait.
Marina Market is in Red Hook but is very expensive. I suggest your going to Tutu Park Mall and the Plaza Xtra supermarket which is the last building in the complex.
Is that on the way to Sapphire Village from the airport?
Yes to your questions. Marina Market sells a german health bread made with whole grain flour only. Its 100% whole grain, low carb and high fiber. I believe its around $2.50 per package. They also sell german/norwegian "bread" slices made from 100% whole grains, almost no carbs and high fiber content.
hope this helps
Wow, fantastic, I can't even find low carb bread here in San Diego anymore. All the food stores stop selling it recently. The last place I was able to still get it was Costco but they also discontinued it. I guess the fad is over for the Adkins diet but it works great for me. I have been buying low carb bread mix in specialty stores and making it myself in a bread maker. Thank you.
