Hi All,
Is there grocery shopping right in Wharfside Village? We're staying at Battery Hill (which is within walking distance, I think). We're not going to need a whole lot - plan on eating out just about all the time - but I'd like to have a few things in the condo, like snacks & drinks, etc. My plan - which is not much of one 🙂 - is to get settled in at the condo when we arrive, pick up some supplies & then just play everything by ear.
Also rented a jeep for the week, so if there's a grocery store/market at another location that would work also.

No, there's no grocery shopping at Wharfside Village. It's all shops and restaurants (worth checking out, in my opinion, by the way). But both Dolphin Market and Starfish (??) Market are close by.
You're not going to want to carry groceries up the hill to Battery anyway. Hop in the Jeep and head to Starfish. Have fun!
Thanks for the recommendations! We'll definitely head to Wharfside when we get there (hubby's 1st priority is eating!) - arriving Saturday but don't get the jeep 'til Sunday. So it looks like early morning shopping on Sunday & then "snorkel, snorkel, snorkel" 🙂

Grab a cab have them take you to Starfish for your snacks, mixolagy "spelling" for your liquor
Waterguy, thanks for the suggestion - was going to take a cab up to Battery Hill condo anyway. Will one take us to Starfish, wait while we shop, then take us to condo? Sure don't want to waste Sunday morning food shopping!
As for "mixology" 🙂 I'm mostly a beer drinker, but will definitely try all those drinks I keep reading about!

Walk from the ferry to Starfish or Dolphin, grab the snacks you need and then get a cab....Dolphin is a 2 minute walk from the ferry Starfish maybe 5.....save the money on getting a cab from the ferry, spend it on snacks and get a cab when you get out of the grocery store.....!
Mixology is a full service liquior store, Beer prices on the islands are high but the hard stuff is cheap so you might want to think mixed drinks while you are there
