Thanks to all for your help in budgeting fuel prices.

Where is a good place to get groceries on the east end of Saint Thomas? Are there any speciality (gourmet) stores? How about wharehouse stores (like Costco)?

Einstein:

Best place on the East End, that I found, was the Marina Market in Red Hook. Good selection and a short trip. Prices seemed reasonable (accounting for the USVI markup). Also, very nice people there.

Here's the drill - start at PriceSmart up in town for your paper goods, staples, etc. If you are staying long enough for bulk items this is the place. Also have a decent selection of frozen seafood and meats and pretty decent liquor prices. Then on to the Fruit Bowl in Wheatly Center for your vegetables and then Food Center for the rest. If you must stay on the east end Food Center is your best bet. They are competetive with Marina Market on most items and have much easier access to parking.
Have fun!
