We are going to be staying near Coral Bay in a few days. Where is the cheapest place to get groceries on St. John? We will have a rental car, so we will be able to drive anywhere on the island. Thanks so much!!!!

We stay out in Coral Bay and we do the bulk of our shopping at Starfish Market as it has the biggest selection, it's located about 5 minutes from the ferry dock. When we are out in Coral Bay and need something we go to the market located in the same complex as Astro Bistro, I can't remember the name but it's on the second level left side. Hope this helps. Pine Peace Market is at the bottom of Jacob's Ladder, just past, and on the same side of the road as the car parts store as you leave Cruz Bay on South Shore Road. You need to make a tough, sharp turn to get to the small parking area in front. Pine Peace does not have a deli or a fresh meat department. Produce section is small.
Prices on commodities especially liquor are best at Pine Peace. 750 ml of Cruzan-$5.49, 1.75 Cruzan under $10-the next lowest elsewhere on the island last week was $7 for 750 ml! They always have Puerto Rican punch too-necessary for restaurant tasting rum punch.

You could load up at Dolphin or Starfish when you fist get to Cruz Bay. Afterwards, there are enough markets in Coral Bay to probably take care of your needs: Love City Mini Mart, Lilly's and a small one across from Island Blues. W don't have much to do with Cruz Bay once we get to STJ.
