I will be in the islands in 3 weeks, and was wondering if there are quality surf breaks and surfboard rentals? I also have 3-5 other folks who are interested in renting and experienceing surfing the Virgin Islands.
Any info and contacts is greatly appreciated.

e-mail Harry at [email protected] and tell him that Marty said he would know. He's lived in HA for 25 years and surfs here everyday.

Aloha,

Here are some things to look into:

Check out: https://www.vinow.com/general_usvi/more_info/surfing/

St. Thomas: Try contacting the folks at West Indies Windsurfing at (340)775-6530 and see if they might be able to give some surfing contacts/information, rentals. I believe they also do kiteboarding.

St. Croix: Try http://www.kitestcroix.com/

British Virgin Islands: Try http://www.windsurfing.vi/watersports.htm

Here is some info. another user posted a few weeks ago:

Yup. 32 noted breaks between the 3 main islands. (12 - St. Thomas, 4 - St. John, 16 - St. Croix)

Lifesgood, I'm sorry but I'm praying against you. I don't surf, and want good snorkeling conditions for my trip in February (we're camping at Cinnamon Bay).

Pray for calm, clear water.

The surfing areas may have good waves, while the snorkeling areas are like glass, so you will BOTH be happy!!

Hull Bay beach on STT. The best and I believe only place to surf decent waves.
