I have found that JetBlue has been running some fantasic deals to San Juan for those of us fortunate to be close to their major hubs (Ft. Lauderdale and New York). They have been running about $180 r/t or less to SJU w/taxes. From there you can catch an American Eagle or Caribbean Sun "hop" for about $130 r/t.
Now (after I already booked my tickets for my trip in March) I see that they are giving people an additional $15 off each way with the promotion code: JBFRIENDS. This is valid for a purchase made by March 3, for any flight through April 4. Granted it is a small window but if you are looking for a last minute flight it is a great deal to get an extra $30 off.
I absolutely can't say enough good things about JetBlue. I wish I could fly them everywhere. They are always on time, have friendly staff, clean/new planes, and free DirecTV and PPV movies at every seat.

ooooh...good to know! Thanks! Cape Air also hops from SJU to STT, so plenty of options for that leg. I didn't know about the DirecTV and PPV at each seat!
