Hello Par 6,

Buccaneer has a web site for their golf course - should get all your answers there...

You can also look at

Buccaneer is in good shape right now. You can purchase a 10 play card that is discounted. You can rent clubs. Check out the web site,

Carambola is a good course too...give it a try.

There are three courses on St. Croix.

The Buccaneer. I've played there for $60 with cart and club rentals for 18 holes.

The Reef. A nine hole course is $30 for cart and club rental for 9 holes.

And out west is Carambola, which is supposed to be the nicest course. I haven't played that one but I'm sure the prices are about the same.

Bear in mind that none of the courses have irrigation so they are subject to be dry and brown at times. Especially the first two which are on the east end. (the dry end)

All three have pretty nice clubs for rent, so don't feel obligated to schlep yours through the airport if you aren't that serious about playing. The prices may change during the season, so don't hold me to those exact numbers.

have fun,
J.

I played golf in mid January at The Buccaneer and also at Carambola. The Buccaneer is one of the prettiest courses I have ever played, lots of spectaculr views. It is a nice course with a few tricky holes - 6 or 7 iron off the tee works out much better than the driver. The course was very green due to a wet winter, but it looked like irrigation was being installed to serve the fairways ( I think the greens are already irrigated).

Carambola is a more challenging course and quite a bit more expensive - $110 vs $60, plus cab fare to and from. It is a very good course, especially the greens. Everything was also very green and I didn't notice if there was irrigation or not.
