This will be my first trip to the Virgin Islands. We are staying at The Westin. I see that you can arrange for transfers to The Westin and back to the airport for $95 a person. This includes being taken on the resort’s private water shuttle. I don't know if I should just go with this or if it would be better to just take a taxi to the ferry and then a taxi from the ferry to the resort. I'll looking for the option that would be the easiest and least confusing. Please give me some advise. Thanks
That sounds like a pretty good deal if it is round trip taxi's and water shuttle. I rented a jeep on STT and took the car barge over to STJ, another alternative if you want to drive on the island.
And you can also come back and forth as many times to St Thomas to shop or sightsee if you wish for th same money. It's hassle free. You give them your baggage at the airport and then the next time you see it is in your room.!
Hi Crystal - we have a couple of timeshares at the Westin and have used both the Westin Ferry and the regular ferrys. If you are looking for easy & hassle-free, use the Westin Ferry. It's fairly expensive, but they take your luggage from you at the airport, deliver it to your room at the Westin, take you directly to the Westin, and you can go back & forth to St. Thomas during the week as you wish. Using the regular ferrys works well too, but the hassle factor is somewhat increased. Hope this helps
And don't forget about the Rum Punch when you get off at the Westin dock!
We'll be there in two days. Can't wait!!

Thanks so much for all the input. We leave next Saturday and I think we'll go with the Wetin ferry.
I used the Westin Ferry two years ago, it was great. You leave your luggage with them at the airport and do not worry with it again. They also greet you with rum punch as soon as you get off of the ferry at the westin. Definitely worth it.
