Anyone know the best and cheapest way to get to Jost Van Dyke on a Tuesday? Can't find this info anywhere! Thanks.

Cheapest way, probably a ferry to Tortola (west end) then ferry over to Jost. The best and fastest way but more expensive would be a charter directly to Jost.

We just had the same problem just last week! Made a dozen or more phone calls to every ferry service or charter operation we could find. At Skinny Legs, we were talking to some locals and they recommended Capt. Truman with Flyaway Charters (viflyawaycharters.com) and then go to "about us". Even though it poured down rain all day, we had a blast! Capt. Truman is terrific and makes a fun day for everyone! If you would like to PM me, I have his personal phone number since we didn't find him through the website.

All this information is from St. John--if you are in St. Thomas, it may be easier. We also were told to catch the ferry from Tortola that stops in St. John at 715am on its way to St. Thomas, then catch a ferry from St. Thomas to Tortola then over to Jost. That was just way too many ferry connections for a daytrip!!!

It was our first time to Jost and it was such a memorable trip. If the weather is nice, Capt. Truman will stop at the bubbling pools and Sandy Spit (where the Corona commercials are filmed) and also include some snorkeling if you want to do that. He is very accommodating and will tailor the trip for what you want to do. The price of the charter for 4 of us wasn't much more than what we would have paid to do a daytrip through a tour operator and it was just us on the boat!
