Can anyone tell me what the resort is like?
How are the rooms, the beacg, the water.
Is there any other places you would recoment along the same price line.
We have never been to the Carribean before any info would be a huge help.
Kate the wedding planner there is VERY VERY nice. However, most of the people I have spoken to that have stayed there said the rooms are a little bit run down and need some updating. I love Bolongo because there is alot to do there, Iggie's Beach Bar always has something going on, but I would not recommend a wedding there if you want privacy and true Caribbean water colors and soft white sand. Their sand is brownish like a sandbox sand since they have to import the sand because it gets washed out when it rains heavily.
There are many gorgeous white sand private beaches to choose from that you can have your ceremony on, but I would recommend staying there if you are looking for a resort, but not expecting the Ritz. The staff there is very nice and there are plenty of chairs and hammocks to sit in and get sun.
I hope this helps.

Agree with StuScott - there are far more beautiful places to get married on STT or on STJ than Bolongo Beach. You could also check with the lovely Cheryl ([email protected]) among other wedding planners.
As far as general accomodations on STT are concerned, it depends on the time of year you're planning this but excellent deals abound during the summer months and you could look into Secret Harbour, Sapphire, Crystal Cove to mention but a few, assuming that you haven't already locked yourself into Bolongo.
Let us know more about your plans and we'll all be happy to help as much as we can to ensure that your wedding is picture perfect!
I like the wedding ceremony area at Sapphire Beach...it extends out into the water about 150 feet....it has a beautiful backround view. This will make for some great photos.
Yes at Sapphire I like to head past the shipwrecked Catamaran to that deserted beach in the corner, which I call Little Sapphire but I have never looked it up so if anyone knows the proper name I would apprecaite it. There is a nice little palm tree lined pathway from the backroad. Gorgeous white sand that goes up over your ankles.
