Was wanting to get from St T to St C as cheap as possable , was relying on fastferry starting in early nov but just found out they may not start til late nov. . Is there any other ferry service available ? Fastferry said they won't be announcing there schedule until nov, and I need to purchase airfare much more in advance than that. any other option available ? Thanks Dan S
Only other way is by air.
Linda-- I was afraid of that -- if anyone knows any individual who might provide this service let me know . maybe a small charter that does'nt advertise much ? Dan S
I doubt you will find anyone making that trip for less than a flight. I've seen Seaborne as low as $85 one way.
You mean $85 round trip. Not even their regular one way fare is as high as $85.
I went by ferry and the experience was okay, they show a movie each way. The only thing is on the way back it was a movie that I care nothing for and the sound was so load that I really was glad when it was over. Also don't go to St. Croix on sunday if you are looking for business to be open.
When we flew over in May round trip was $137.00! I was really surprised because last year we paid about $85.00. It's best to check their website, and book in advance. You might get a better rate.
Try Cape Air. 1-800-352-0714 from St. Thomas. Great little airline with 6 flights a day and if you are going back and forth regularly they do a frequent flyer deal with coupons at a total discounted price. 10 flights = $96.00 each way ($960) but you would get them for approx $599 if you buy the coupon booklet for the same 10 flights.
