*We are arriving in St Thomas on a cruise ship at Havensight I believe.

1)Is it possible to walk to Charlotte Amalie? If so how long of a walk? If not cost of taxi?
2)Are the taxi rates per person or for group?
3)Cost of taxi to Red Hook? Coki Beach?
4)Is it worth to take a Public Bus to Red Hook? Where do you catch the bus?

Thanks!

It is a long hot walk into Charlotte Amalie from Havensight but not impossible. It does look much shorter than it feels! Have seen many a thirsty sweaty folk just wishing they'd taken a taxi. Taxis are per person per destination and the bus system is not the most reliable.

Hello, there is a getting around section on this web site. Go to St. Thomas Guide, and choose getting around. There is info on taxis, including point to point cost.

or use https://www.vinow.com/stthomas/getting_around_stt/taxi_stt/taxi_general_areas.php

You can walk to CA like Karen said, its hot and will seem long, with cars driving right next to you, and the heat. Long of a walk - maybe 45 minutes. Taxi is $3 one way, each person. If you have a large group - you can try to bargain a group fare with the driver - do this before getting on the taxi and not after.

Taxi to Coki is around $10 for first person, $7 each additinal - one way.
