Hello! Any information on a tour guide that would keep the tour close to coast line not going up the mountain? Husband is very afraid of the height. We went Godfrey 4 years ago, great. But my husband had a panic attack because of the height going up the mountain. He refuses to even attempt going up it again. We are going to be there again with my daughter (7 years old) and my sister in law and her daughter.I want for them to experience the shopping and get to Coki beach for most of day. We are docking at crown bay and will be there from 7-3. Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.. Thank you.

The only 'tour guides' are taxi drivers, and they run the same routes four tours. If you select a driver, at random, they will be more than happy to drive in the direction you select, but their rates will then not be subject to the Taxi Association's set rate for tours, or destinations (read: higher priced). Docking at Crown bay, you can take a $4 taxi to town for shopping, then a $10 taxi to Coki, and they run over Raphune Hill to get there. It's not nearly as high as going to Magen's, but it probably winds up to about 4 or 500 feet about see level by the time you crest Raphune (but it's not straight up, it's all winding curves and he would have to look backwards to see that you are going uphill. On the way back from coki, you can request that the driver take you along the South side, but then youo have to go up Donkey Hill. It's not that it's very tall, but it's a really steep hill and that might make him nervous. There is no other way to drive from Crown Bay to Coki Beach without going over some hills, sorry! Unless you take a boat, that is! But why do you need to go to Coki? We have 42 other beaches on this rock! Pick one that doesn't require you to travel up and down hills to get to! Oh, the 7 year old, that's right, she'll probably wanna go to Coral World. I know! Leave hubby in town! Haha! Or, get him a few bushwackers first! haha! Then he won't care WHERE you are driving him! haha! Anyone else have any ideas?

It's good to finally have a PC again! Glad to be back and thanks for the welcome! But I just read my post above and found quite a few typos! Crikey! I guess I should use that new spellcheck option, eh, Islander? haha! Haha!
