I will be leaving Charlotte on Wednesday to visit St. Croix for 5 wonderful days. I'm very excited. I've reserved a rental car and hope I don't get too confused with that left side of the road thing.
My question is what is the current price per gallon for gas. I know it's getting ridiculous here. They tell me I have unlimited milage with the car so I just hope the gas price is not too high.
Thanks for any help,
Jazzie
Actually, gas prices on St. Croix are among the cheapest in the country, I'd say starting at $1.40-up per gallon. We have the largest oil refinery in the Western Hemisphere, so that explains why.
Hello Jazzie,
Last I checked was last month and the prices were around $1.20 - $1.32 on St. Croix. As Dominic mentioned it is pretty much always a good price.
As for getting mixed up - rental cars here usually have a little sign that says stay left on the dash board, come up with a little chant maybe 'right is wrong' and keep repeating it. 🙂

Thanks so much. I'll give you guys a full report when I get back.
This message board has been a terrific help to me.

I just returned from STX a week ago. Gas prices were around $1.50, the highest I've ever seen there and still more than $.30/gallon cheaper than where I am now (not to mention that it was more than 30 degrees warmer!)
