We will be going to St. Croix from Oct 21 to Oct 29 during the World Series and staying at The Buccaneer. We are from Chicago and huge White Sox fans. I was wondering if anyone has suggestions of any fun sports bars in the area that world have The World Series on.
Also, I am also alittle concerned about all the rain you've had and wondered if the forecast is looking better.
Any input would be appreciated.

Hi Denise

Promise yourself that you will only watch the night games - spend the days on the beach or in the water
Having said that - there is a sports bar about a mile or 2 just to the west of the Buccaneer Resort (towards downtown Christiansted). There is a little grocery store and this bar/restraunt right on the main road, route 82 (same road that the Buccaneer is on) this area is called Gallows Bay - you can't miss it.
They have a big screen TV and several smaller TV's and a couple of pool tables. Last October I got to watch my Bengals beat the Bronco's there on Sunday night - that's right - I can now say outloud that I'm a Bengals fan -- I'm a Reds fan also (been hurtin for a while with those guys)
Anyway, I wasn't to excited about the food in this place but the beer was cold - Oh yeah they also held a little raffle at this bar and the winner and a guest got to sit in the two lazy boy reclining chairs in front of the big screen tv - but that might have been a promotion for Coors Light on that night

I'm sure that there are other places to watch the game, but this will be the closest to you at the Buccaneer. Sports bars on STX are not quite the same as they are in your home town.

Good luck to your Sox and don't spend too much time in bars.
When you leave the bar just remember to drive on the left side, that's another story

Have fun
Steve

Sharky's will have the game on, as will Ft. Christian Brew Pub on the boardwalk in Christiansted. You could try the new Full Moon Bar at Cane Bay if you are out on the north shore when a game is approaching. There is even a TV at the bar at Tutto Bene that will probably be playing the night games. In Frederiksted, stop in at Lost Dog Pizza and they will have the games on for sure.

Thanks for all your input. Since we will be there all week we will probably try each place.
