We are going to the Frenchmen's Reff the last week in June. Can't wait. How is this place we've been reading good and bad things. Can anyone also tell us what's a good room there with a good view, so we can ask for when we check in?
We much appreciate it.

My wife and I stayed there for a week in April and we loved it. If you haven't already booked an ocean view room, it might be too late. They told us they cost an extra $70 per day also. The hotel is great and all the people working there were really nice. There main pool is a good place to watch the cruise ships leaving in the evening. They feed the iguanas every day at 2:30pm next to the pool. Ask about there free pool side rum punch party, all the free drinks you want. If you have any specific questions just reply back and I'll do my best to answer them

Ryan,
We booked a Royal Suite, they didn't ask what view we wanted. How was your room? what floor ?
We appreciate your comments.

The room was nice but, we were just there to sleep really. didn't spend a lot of time in the room. We were on the top floor (10) looking east.

I know the room doesn't mean much, but I like a nice room and view. Are there alot of bugs? Is shopping within walking distance from the hotel?

LL: The Reef has several shops- a jewelry store, clothing store, etc. Also a 24 hour food-to-go type place. Morningstar has a little food spot and Morning Star Beach shop (clothes, bathing suits etc.) The hotel is out at the end of a peninsula, in a residential area. All other shopping will be a taxi or water taxi ride away.

Stayed there a week in May. Would have to give it mixed reviews. Very nice property/location/views, but could you some touchs ups here and there. Service levels varied greatly. Front desk staff clueless for most part. Was on 7th floor in main building and room was good sized and clean. Air conditioning was however "challenged" , it was very hot when we were there. Morningside has a nice little beach and pool, and a couple of good places to eat.

No where to walk to.

Stay in Morning Star with ocean view - it is wonderful - we staye dthere a couple of years ago and originally had a room in the main hotel - after the first night we switched to Morningstar - ocean view and a few steps to the beach -wonderful. if we stayed there again that is where we would stay. Breakfast buffet is also nice - many choices and be sure to get a massage!

Royal Suite is nice.. Probably most have at least some water view... They are all on the top floor "Top of the Reef"... In the main building...

Is configured in a loft style with king size bed and bath up a spiral staircase... Very ornate... but kind of a pain to get luggage and yourself up and down...

Linens on the bed are nice and it's clean... Staff is friendly, just ask if you have a problem and they will fix it... 🙂

Downstairs there is another bathroom a couch and a living area... All rooms have ice makers and I think they have small refrigerators as well...
