is the frenchmans reef hotel beachfront? is it the best place to stay? Thanks.

Frenchmans Reef is not really beach front, like say Sapphire Beach or Secret Harbor or Emerald Beach Resorts, you take an elevetor down to the beach. Mariott has Morningstar which is more of a beach front property the the Frenchmans Reef resort - benefit there is that you have access to both resort amenities by staying at either one, they are very close to each other.
