I will be down in the islands for the week of Thanksgiving.
I was wondering if anyone has been to Foxy's for Thanksgiving.
If so, what is it like?
Thanks,
You'll want to call ahead. My experiences with the BVIs for Thanksgiving has been that a lot of places are closed or have a special party. In 1996 all of the restaurants in that were open Cane Garden Bay had buffets and only charged for drinks. Some of these were pot luck type spreads.
Cheers, RickG
Thanksgiving is an American tradition but several places in the BVI (like Foxy's) do celebrate it because of the relatively close proximity to the USVI and familial connections between the islands. RickG is correct though in advising that you reserve. The admonition to reserve applies to not only the BVI but to the USVI also. Cheers!

Minor point but they do celebrate Thanksgiving in Canada also. I think it is the second Monday in October - not sure
It is also celebrated in Plymouth, England because that is where the Pilgrims departed from. Not sure why but it is a good excuse to eat and party. So now we can add JVD the locations that enjoy Thanksgiving. And there are very few places better to party than Foxy's!

we've been to Foxy's for thanksgiving. Nice barbecue nothing special and you do need a reservation. It is usually crowded and the atmosphere will be driven by the type of crowd. Our best experience was at Pirates Bite (norman Island) great food and funn but not sure they are still doing it. Also theJolly Roger in West End of Tortoal has a covered dish that is great and attended by many fun xpat's.
