Is anyone going to be down in Aug the weekend of the 24,25th?
Not unless I win the lottery! Just got back and miss it terribly!
Did you find any takers as yet?
RL
The annual Chili cook-off is on Sunday August 26th at Bolongo and EVERYBODY will be there!!!!
Gobucs - are you on STT or STJ (I don't think you are on STX)
Pia
Wish I could be there, that's my birthday! I'll be toasting to you all!
Here's your thread. Maybe you might want to post of the meet at T & T.
RL
Sorry it took soooo long to respond back to everyone
We are now staying on stt and after talking to Sherri we have decided to meet at the Toad and the Tart at 6:00pm
on Friday the 24th instead of the 23rd because it wont be on a work night for most of you
Unfortunatley we will be leaving on the 26th (boo hoo) so that wont work (Chili cook off)
I would love it if all you islanders could show as i would love to put a face with the names !!!
Please let me know
P.S Hey Ron what thread aree you refering?

gobucs
RonUSVI,
Ya gonna come to this one?
PM'd STT Resident about the get together and she really needs to know how many, IF any are actually gonna show and needs reservations! Friday night is a busy night for her and therefore she needs to know exactly what is up! In the past, she has had the get togethers on one of her closed nights and opens per say, just for us, this way SHE can join us!
I DO know Gobucs comes in the 23rd and is only here for a very few days. In put would be greatly appreciated! 🙂
STT Resident, would the 23rd be any better for you?
Greetings all
Is the chili cookoff an ICS or CASI sponsored event? Are there still booths available?
aussie: For info on the chili cook-off you can call Erik Ackerson at 473-8706. Entry forms are on the online newsletter at www.thevirginpod.org. There is probably space still available but be aware that it's "space" only (10'X10') and you have to bring your own set-up. Hope this helps. Cheers!
Thanks for the info, STT Resident! My mom and dad competed for years in chili cook offs all over the lower 48 winning state competitions in New York, Virginia, and Connecticut. My dad placed 4th in the international cook off in California one year. I was thinking about pulling out the old family recipe. 🙂
Aussie, please pull out the family recipe and join the fun! I'd love to taste an award-winning chili!
Greetings Karen
I'll see what I can do! I'm trying to tempt my mom into coming for a visit and joining the cook off. My parents competed as The Blue Knights Chili Cookers. My mom decided that she'd start her own team and competed as The Ladies of the Knights. I understand that a few of the cooks have since moved to St Croix. I hope they'll be there on the 26th. Even if I don't cook, I'll see you there! Cook offs are a lot of fun.
Hey Sherri,
Their will be 4 of us
Now please Everyone just say your coming!!
And the countdown begins
