Another quick question from me...

We're traveling with 2 small kids through the FLL airport in 2 weeks on Spirit Air, does anyone know what kind of food places is in the area where we'll be changing planes? I usually pack food but with the new airline restrictions on liquids and gels, it's getting a little harder to do that.

Thanks!
Keri

That wing of the Ft. Lauderdale airport is small and crowded. The food choices in the gate area are Nathans Hotdogs with a sitdown area and a couple food carts for sandwiches and West Indian food.
Sometimes the food carts are open sometimes they are not. If you have enough time you can leave the gate area and immediately outside there is a Sbarro Pizza place, Seafood restaurant and a sandwich place. Having to go back through security can be a pain especially if you are traveling with children. If you can pack some food I would recommend that.

Thanks for the info, I'll try to pack some substantial snacks (that aren't liquid or gel!). Going back through security is too much of a hassle for us. Having this info helps me out a lot, I really appreciate it!
