I am so excited as our vacation to St John is next week. This will be our third trip and we have yet to be disppointed on any aspect of our vacation. We are booked on the New Horizons II and am wondering what to wear on our feet? Do you need any shoes when you go thru the baths on virgin gorda? I realize you have fins on when you snorkel.

Donna:
A good pair of sandals that can get wet(not leather) are the ticket for the baths. Youll be wading thru water and then crossing some rocks that can get slippery.Just go slow, watch your step and enjoy.its beautiful!

FYI...The first thing that happens when you go on the NH2 day trip is you put your shoes, sandals in a bin before you get on the boat. You get them back after you leave the boat at the end of the day. It's a barefoot cruise. No need for them during the day. 🙂

THEY GAVE US OURS BACK WHEN WE GOT OFF THE BOAT AT THE HARBOUR IN VIRGIN GORDA AND THEN TOOK THEM BACK WHEN WE REBOARDED TO LEAVE AGAIN SO WE WOULD HAVE THEM WHEN WALKING AROUND THE BATHS

When we went on the NHII, they took our shoes when we boarded the boat. I had worn my rubber-soled beach shoes. They said we would not need our shoes the entire trip, but I wish I had insisted on taking them to the Baths. It was hard on my feet to climb those rocks. I did insist on taking my shoes to lunch at Marina Cay, mainly because I did not want to walk into a ladies room with a potentially wet floor in my bare feet.
