Nicest restaurant near there is Romano's. Overpriced but nice.

Romanos is great! Nice people, small place, and right around the corner from where you are. If you venture out at all, and are looking for something a little different than the usual 1829 or Herve, I highly recommend Marisol's on Government Hill! The best food on the island, in my opinion and very charming!

Romanos is not dark or open. White walls, if I remember correctly, with paintings. Near your hotel, which is open and airy, is Agave Terrace. Would be my choice, over Romano's, and not as pricey. What type are you looking for for your Uncle?

well he likes Italian, but you can get that anywhere and he does. Something open w/ an Island feel and of course good food.
