I have noticed that airfare into st. Thomas is quite a bit cheaper than St.Croix. Has anyone taking the ferry from St.Thomas to St. Croix? The schedule for the Virgin Island Fast Ferry won't be posted until November and we will be flying in on Thursday and leaving on Saturday (10 days). I don't want to get tickets to St.Thomas and then not be able to get the ferry over to St.Croix. Any suggestions?

Thanks
Denise

How much cheaper is it? There's also a seaplane that most people use to get to STX.

Cape Air (www.flycapeair.com) is probably the most convenient, as they fly from the airport in St. Thomas.

My suggestion is to take the sea plane. It takes 15 minutes and it's a glorious trip. You will love it.

Remember you will spend about $150 rt to fly and maybe $80 rt on the ferry between St Thomas and Sr Croix. In addition you will have up to several hours more travel time.

I would need to save many hundreds of dollars before I would put myself through that inconvenience.

I don't know when you are flying or where you are flying from, but i have usually found no more than a $100 difference.
