*I'm wondering whether you might be able to recommend the titles of any books that would give me the history of Flanagan Island. Any help or suggestions that you can offer would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you

I DON'T KNOW OF A BOOK STORE IN MONGOOSE, ALTHOUGH THERE ARE STORES THERE THAT SELL A FEW BOOKS. YOU MIGHT WANT TO TRY THE HEMINGWAY BOOK STORE IN RED HOOK ( JUST A FERRY RIDE FROM CRUZ BAY). THEIR TEL # IS 340 775 2272

Did if have to be that bookstore. If you were looking for a bookstore in the VI... there is a good one in Havensight called Dockside Bookshop.

Correct me if I am wrong, I remember you were looking for history/family history details... (I get a lot of emails so maybe it was someone else) in any case search for Danish Virgin Islands in Yahoo or Google... see if you can pull to any web sites, I had found one some time back with old maps, and information with names of settlers from the 1600's and church records and the like. Also had the address of the Danish Archieves --- apparently they kept excellent records, perhaps you might find some information that way - if you have not tried this already.
