The Flagship Club at Sapphire Beach Resort has filed bankruptcy. There aren't any timeshare units any longer. All units have been auctioned off and are privately owned. I am one of the timeshare owners who were NOT informed of the bankruptcy which is illegal. ALL OF THE TIMESHARE OWNERS BY LAW HAVE TO BE NOTIFIED. Has anyone else experienced the same problem? If so, please contact me. There should be some sort of legal action we can bring against the Flagship Club. Does anyone know the name of the law firm handling the bankruptcy proceedings?

We heard that they when bankrupt from a timeshare owner.

You can try to get back but there is no one to get any money from. And I bet there are lots of creditors that are higher up then you.

You could contact a lawyer in the home location that they were in and see if there is anything that con be done.

If it helps this is only one of many things at sapphire resort.

Isn't this rather old news? My understanding was that a class action suit was contemplated but then dropped. Sorry not to be able to offer any first hand knowledge but hopefully someone with better knowledge will chime in.

Wayne

You are a bit behind in this. The Flagship members formed a group on yahoo and I am sure you can do a search and find it. Who ever you spoke with has given you bad information as Flagship never owned any units and never filed for bankruptcy They just closed.
The user group is not very active any longer because after exploring all options nothing could be done
Do join the group though if you want to learn what happened

Do you know how to join the group? Can I still use my week for vacation and if so does anyone know who to contact?

Here is a link to the group web site. You have to request to join the group and I have no idea if it is still active. http://groups.yahoo.com/group/flagshipclub/

Your week is gone, and there is no one to contact.

Hello Wayne,
Unfortunately, my husband and I are experiencing the same problem. When I call Sapphire Beach Resort, a female manager was so nasty, and told me she is not the one that took my money, was unable to help me and then hung up. We also were never notified of anything in the mail, not even our common charge bills etc. We are also trying to figure out what the next step is needed for us to do. We have tried to call Flagship as well asTalon Group Inc. and both phone numbers are no longer in service. I see you have posted this months ago. Were you able to reach anyone and receive any answers at this point? Thanks
