My boyfriend is graduating from college on May 3rd, and on May 6th we will be going to St. John for two weeks. I would like to take him on a fishing trip and I was wondering if anyone has any recomendations for me, that could include price ranges. Any help is greatly appreciated. Thanks a lot. Erin

Hello Erin,

Here is some info on cost:
Prices start at $90 an hour with a 2 hour minimum, $450 for a ½ day, $650 for ¾ of a day and $650-$850 for a full day. Inshore fishing and flat fishing is available, and is often limited to 2 to 4 passengers depending on the size of the boat. Prices range from $350 for ½ day of inshore fishing and $250 for ½ day of flats/shore fishing.

My next door neighbor is the Mate on the Black Pearl which is a deep sea fishing boat. I'd be happy to send you contact info via e-mail, as I'm not allowed to post it here.

I can highly recommend Loren Nickbarg on St John. We used him a bunch of times last year and we have him booked for 5 trips this May. 1/2 days are $400 and full days are $750. I know he won't be available for May 7th because we are already booked with him. His number is 340-779-4281. If you talk to him tell him Sam & Brian sent you! Good luck

We did in shore and off shore with Loren, we caught Mahi Mahi, rainbow runners, king mackeral. I caught a 50 lb Tarpon off Congo Cay. I also caught a 100 and something pound Reef Shark.
He has a 30 some foot in board center console. GREAT BOAT.
I am leaving Saturday for a 9 day trip, we have several fishing trips booked.
