Can anyone give me info on what bait ,tackle to use and where to fish near Sugar Bay Resort? and whats biting? I may try fishing from kayak or shore thanks alot .
You need to be very careful about eating anything you catch from the shoreline or in shallow water as the incidence of ciguatera is high among reef fish. You may get some good pointers from the people at Neptune Fishing Supply which is in American Yacht Harbor in Red Hook, a 5-10 minute drive from Sugar Bay.
There are two excellent fishing charter operations which run out of Sapphire Marina about 5 minutes away - Double Header and Abigail III and you can also buy fresh catch from them when they return at the dock.
