need help... we are all heading to St John June 3 & can not wait!! My uncle is a avid fisher & we need to know where it is "OK" to fish (from land). As in, he takes his pole & goes, without going on a charter etc. Any advice from the locales? Thank you in advance for any info.

Here is the link to the "rules" scroll down to fishing - you will see not allowed in any swim area's and not on Trunk or Jumbie

Thanks Pia, I have alerady read the "rules" if you will. I believe I did not make myself clear so let me rephrase. Does anyone know of a good spot (from land not a charter) to fish? Any local help would be much appreciated.

Hello kjo,

Not a fisher myself but here is some information - hope it helps. I've seen folks fishing from the rocks on the point at Haulover Bay. Mary's Creek below Annaberg for flats is often spoken about. I've heard some mention the point on the far right of Francis Bay - its a popular swimming and snorkeling beach though. Also seen mention of Great Cruz Bay (where the Westin Resort is located) again avoid the swim area. Enjoy.

Practically any beach with rocks will do. Best times are early, early morning (sunrise) or late afternoon (sunset). Those little quarter ounce silver Kastmasters work wonders.

Tight lines!
