I will be visiting St John in march of 2005. I want to look into Fishing charters. Does anyone have any information where I can find fishing charters. I wopuld like to do more inshore fishing rather than offshore. Also, I would like to know if there are any charters that are conducive to kids(bottom fishing). I have a nine year old that would love to go fishing too.

Loren Nickbarg (sp?) is a name that comes up a lot from what I have read on inshore fishing out of STJ. He seems to know what he is doing and was featured in Saltwater fishing magazine a year or so ago. Do a search on him and see what comes up. Good luck!

You might also look into Marlin Prince on St. Thomas (www.marlinprince.com). I think the captain has kids about that age, and they can pick up in St. John. This is definately an "offshore" charter in fishing season (summer) but maybe not so much in March - - worth a look. Have Fun!!
