My husband and I are trying to plan our trip to VI in April. I'm thinking of a few days in Stt, with a day trip to stj, and then a week in stx. Mostly we like to be at the beach-, laid back atmosphere- especially hammocks on beach. Husband'sability to walk is limited to about 1/2mile on smooth surface, less on a beach. On the other hand, I love to walk on long unobstructed beaches.
Many questions:
Are mosquitoes a problem everywhere?-east end of stx any better?
any experiences with Carambola resort or divi carina?
West end of stx compared to east end?
any hotels/spots to see sunrise over the ocean?
for novice snorkelers- better to snorkel at hotel beach or go on a trip with instruction?
any beaches on stt or stx with enough surf to bodysurf?
