We are counting down the days (51) until our first trip to the islands...we'll be spending a week at the Frenchman's Marriott on St. Thomas. After much research, with more to come, I already have a list of things to do but am looking for some help prioritizing! For all of you vetrens, what is the ONE thing we MUST do while there?

Anyone else going May 21-27? We can't wait!!!!

Thanks
ColoSun

Weary:

Sit on a beach.
Have a fou-fou beverage.
Snorkel.
Take a historic walking tour.
Shop for a special memento.
Visit Coral World (and feed the stingrays!)
Try some local food.
Parasail.
Watch the cruise ships leave at sunset from Paradise Point.
Rent a Hobie Cat.
Play golf at Mahogany Run.
Take a kayak tour of the mangroves.
Sit on your balcony/deck, etc and read a good book.
Walk the docks and look at the boats.
Play beach volleyball.
Go to a play or concert.
Visit one of the oldest synagogues in the western hemisphere.
Go surfing.
Listen to some live music.
Experience kareoke.
Watch the sunset with your feet in the ocean.

IMHO, a Virgin Islands vacation is more about winding down and relaxing than it is about being entertained. But I think I missed a bunch of activities anyway!

We spend two weeks every year on STT and other that maybe one day sail, we never leave the island...except to go home, and that's at at gun point 🙂 We've been to STJ, a must at least one time, I mean your there why not, well worth the trip.
Plenty to do on STT, what do you enjoy doing.

Colosun, enjoy your trip.

Sugar Bay Resort, close to Coral World, has Iguana feedings right across from the Mini Golf course.

I am so excitied about this vacation that I can hardly contain myself. I have never been to STT and I want to do a little bit of
everything. I love to eat, shop, swim and just rest and relax.

Great post EE. Simple and to the point. Lots of info right there. I agree with all of what you said.

Bottom line is (as everyone says), go limin'.

After reading most of the posts, I agree....YOU MUST TAKE TIME TO JUST CHILL! No better way, than taking the water taxi from Crown Bay Marina to Water Island (5 min Ferry ride). Joe or Wanda @ Honeymoon beach will take care of you thirst and you will no doubt have the the whole beach to yourself. (tell them Tequila Trish sent you!) Make sure you print off the Cruise ship schedules for STT before you leave. Get out of town fast if you hate crowded streets/beaches the days that several ships are in dock. Great places to eat are Hook Line & Sinker in French Town for lobster, Ship Wreck Tavern near Havensight for Cheeseburgers, & the best Key Lime Pie ever @ the Banana Tree @ Bluebeards Castle. It is to die for! Any other questions, email me! ([email protected]) Have a great trip! Rent a Jeep in St John for a great day of running around snorkeling at all the beaches!

Erika -

We are coming in the day you are leaving 🙁

If you are wanting to dive, www.admiraltydive.com is a great local place! We have dove with them for the past 3 trips and will be going again at the end of the month.

As far as things to do, ugh, I don't have much advice since all we do is dive from sun rise to just after the last night dive 🙂

Home is a chilling 42 degree bottom temp year round, so we do all the 'other things' at home and dive like crazy in usvi.

Have a great time!!!!

Trayc
