Hotel 1829, Virgilio's, or Craig and Sally's were always some of my favorites!

Haven't been there in a fe years (used to live there 13 years) but since the following were always consistently good- they should still be fine:
Alexander's in Frenchtown -good Austrian/German food .

I just heard that the old Chart House (at Current Cut ? behind French Town, opened under another name?, but it is now owned by a very saavy long time St T restauranteur) give it a try- it's an exotic water-side location...nice, tasteful open air place.

1829 is very romantic also, and used to be consistently great; but I had bad service and so-so food the last time I was there about 3 years ago- and for those prices I expected better. I did mention it to the manager that night; who knows, maybe it is back up again.
Virgilio's in town- excellent service and intimate indoor surroundings.
Not fine dining, but a great location overlooking Hull Bay- Bryan's Bar on the north side on Hull Bay rd. (now maybe its called Bryan's restaurant.) Great prime rib and fish right out of the ocean. Prices a bit higher than the old flip flop, beer and $12 filet mignon days.

Another nice place for hors'd'oevres and wine: Epernay WIne Bar behind Alexanders.

DS: Alexander's is now Alexander's Bella Blu, slightly different concept, same good food with additions. The old Charthouse is Oceana, very good! I don't think 1829 has been open in quite some time.Bryan's is closed, as of a couple of weels ago.
