The days are slowly passing and I have three weeks until I arrive in STT. This will be my first trip to the island. I just wanted to say thanks to everyone on this forum, that has made researching the islands so easy. Last night I tied up all of the loose ends by renting a 4 door Jeep. I also bought a sea-life DC600 dive camera, so I will have plenty of pictures to share with all of you. I think I have everything covered, but we all know Murphy's Law, so I am sure that something will come up. I have never flown, so I am a bit nervous, but I think the excitement of reaching the islands out weighs the fear. I plan on spending most of my time in the water, snorkeling or diving. Thanks again for all of the useful information.

Matt

Beer, ccd, etc...I'm glad that I'm not alone with this agony of webcamming, post reading, etc. Vicom is a great site! We're not headed down until next year and I've already bored everyone at the office with my excitement. My betterhalf calls the slowdown to island time 'foreplay'! You all have a great trip and can't wait to see pics.

Beer...i have a tip. Find a quiet space on one of the many beautiful beaches. Sit back, relax, crack open a cold one, put some Kenny Chesney on and just really take it all in AND THEN SIT BACK, SMILE!! And, think of all of us aren't there...maybe snicker a little bit.

Do I sound jealous???

Please do listen to JB...or anything else YOU want to listen to. Just don't play it so loud everyone else can hear and please don't sing along (unless alone in the shower :))

I will let you know I am a wonderful singer. Especially after I have had one or two. I will be singing Boat Drinks and dancing on the beach in 2 weeks three days.

I think time is standing still, I still have 10 days until we leave.

I am trying to plan my trip report, but how do you remember what pictures are what? I think I will be under the influence of booze and I might not remember exactly what all we did, is there a secret? Plus my memory is not that strong. Any advice will be helpful.

Beer hunter, that made me laugh. Just post some good pics and we will tell you where they were if we can. Does that help? We have a lot memorized!

Well, the dog is groomed and ready to stay a week at my in-laws. My wife is having a hard time leaving her, we don't have any children so she is our baby. Are there any pet stores on STT where we could buy a toy or treat for her? Here is a picture of her for all of the pet lovers.(I am testing this pic so I can see if I know how to post the trip pictures when we get back.)

We are finally down to ths single digits for my first trip to the island. Now time is picking up speed. We have so much to do and we are now running out of time, but I guess that is a good problem to have. 6 days and counting.

Beer...i was just thinking about you and wondering whether you left yet...now i know.

Listen, try to slow it down a bit. I know it's hard to wait and get there but before you know it you're back and trying to figure out how fast you can get back!!!

Can't wait for a trip report and pictures.

I am trying to slow down, but there are always loose ends that need taken care of. This is my last day at work and we have to be at the airport Saturday at 4 am. There will be plenty of pictures, I am taking two memory cards and they hold 300 pics each. Maybe I will fill them up? Who knows.

Well, I am out of here you all take care and I will write when I get back.

Beer Hunter,

Which beach, exactly, will you be belting out Buffett tunes? I may just join in!
