We are looking at options to ferry from St. Thomas to Tortolla for a catamarin trip. We are flying from St. Croix and are undecided on whether to fly directly into Tortolla or into St. Thomas and take the ferry. If we fly into Tortolla, we have to leave a day early and spend the night because the flights don't get there in time. We wondered if ferries are ever cancelled for any reason or severely delayed. The most important thing is not to miss "cat" trip on July 10. It's not a charter, it's an RCI exchange so they'll leave with or without us! Thanks for any help. Also, price would be appreciated.

Of course, sometimes delays/cancellations happen, but it is infrequent. If you absolutely must be on that catamaran, plan to get to Tortola a day early. If the ferry is canceled and for some reason won't be going the following day, which is unlikely, you would have time to arrange water taxi transportation from STT to Tortola. It would be expensive, but would insure you would make the catamaran trip.
If you haven't already found the St. Thomas to Tortola ferry information/schedule you can find it on this site on the Ferry Schedule page.
