I am trying to figure out the cheapest way to get from San Jaun to St. Croix. Are there any inexpensive ferries that would get me there? Or am I better off taking a plane? Thanks.
No ferries whatsoever running from San Juan to St. Croix, so plane is the only option. The airlines that fly from San Juan to St. Croix are: Caribbean Sun, Cape Air, and American Eagle.
Doesn't Seaborne also go to San Juan?
Also Air Sunshine.
Yes, Seaborne goes from San Juan, but not the airport- you'd need to taxi to the seaplane port in Old San Juan, near the cruise ship docks... it is a great deal of fun to fly, but you are limited to 30 lb of luggage, and they weigh everything: purses, backpacks, etc...
Yeah I forgot Seaborne. Air Sunshine doesn't have a concrete schedule anymore, like they have scheduled flights, but their frequency is "on demand". I guess it means that they don't fly every day, just whenever they have people to fill a plane. They also don't have concrete fares, they depend on how many passengers are flying. Why is this? Do people not fly Air Sunshine anymore, and as a result, they had to cut their service? Honestly, whenever I'm on St. Croix (I lived near the airport and loved to watch the planes), I rarely see an Air Sunshine Cessna plane. Anyone know what's happening with them? I'm an aviation freak, and I was curious.
