I am planning a trip alone to St. John during the last week of April.
Is is safe for a lone female throughout the island - the beaches, hiking trails, etc? And is it relatively safe to be out at night alone on the island?
Thanks for any feedback.

Hi Zoie. We will be staying at The Westin in St. John, from April 23 to the 30th. Probably the same time that you will be there. You should be fine by yourself, but if you would like to get together, we always enjoy making new friends. We are planning a day sail to Virgin Gorda with Limnos Charters. They stop at the caves on Norman Island, for some of the best snorkeling that you will find. If you're interested, let us know. It should be a lot of fun! Have a great trip.

absolutely! i have been camping down at cinnamon bay several times by myself with no problem at all. the people of st. john are by far the best. i recommend stopping in at the quiet mon pub in cruz bay - lots of nice locals to meet there, not to mention internet access - and also stop by a restaurant called margaritas and talk to neil. i met all of these folks when i was there solo, and they are good people.
